Little League Playing Divisions
Westlane Delaware Trail Little League offers divisions of play for players that are "Little League Age" 4 to 18. Little League Age is the age of a player on May 1 of the playing year for Tee-Ball, Pee Wee Baseball, and all other baseball divisions. The "Little League Age" for softball divisions is determined by the player's age on January 1 of the playing year.
Players are drafted to teams based on age and playing ability, therefore it is important for players age 6 and up to attend an evaluation session prior to the start of the season. Because the purpose of the divisions below Majors is instructional, the league reserves the right to adjust the divisional level of players based on observed ability, the ages shown in the divisional descriptions below the Majors level are to be used as a guideline only.
